Purchasing a toMake™ Press
Artist Editioned Maps, Prints, Books & Broadsides
"When you buy from an independent artist you are buying more than just a painting or a novel or a song. You are buying hundreds of hours of experimentation and thousands of failures. You are buying days, weeks, months, years of frustration and moments of pure joy. You are buying nights of worry about paying the rent, having enough money to eat, having enough money to feed the children, the birds, the dog. You aren’t just buying a thing. You are buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a private moment in someone’s life. Most importantly, you are buying that artist more time to do something they are truly passionate about; something that makes all of the above worth the fear and the doubt; something that puts the life into the living."

I offer to price my editions as either “Pay what you want” or “Pay a living wage.”
Maps and prints are priced as they would be in a gallery at $900 US unframed. This is what I consider a living wage for my time, my practice, my experience-effort, cost of materials, and the “gift” or inspiration of “art” that occurs outside the market economy.
$900 per original limited edition map or print. Includes S+H in North America. This is the default price in the shopping cart and the price you would expect in a gallery.
SELECT: Suggested Price $900 includes S&H
Pay what you determine to be the value of the map or print. This is the value you determine and are gifting to me. Then add $150 to cover the production costs I have incurred plus any S+H. Because only selected options are included in the eStore you may need to contact me to arrange your pricing selection.
You can read about my practice of right map making . . . this should help inform you in making your decision as to the economic exchange we are making.
